After years of unhealthy living, I decided to make a much needed lifestyle change. I joined Weight Watchers on March 28, 2001 at a start weight of 406 lbs. To say I was out of control is an understatement. After recovering from the initial shock of seeing the number on the scale, I was determined to get the weight off.

At the time, I was 23 years old and my weight was limiting my life. Walking for extended amounts of time left me out of breath and in a terrible mood. Movies were no longer appealing due to the seat issue. I love to dance, but the weight caused too much strain on my feet and back. Eventually "girls night out" found me sitting the entire night while my friends were on the dance floor. A travel agent that avoided airplanes? What was happening to me? Even though I've been overweight since my early teens, the weight never hindered me ...but now I was forced to adjust various aspects of my life and something had to be done. My
turning point happened during a trip to Mardi Gras in early 2001. I heard the "click" loud and clear.

It has been over 3 years since my journey began. I've lost 200+ lbs and my life has changed dramatically. The girl that hated to walk in malls/grocery stores, now does 5K charity runs and cycling events for fun. Although my work is far from over, I am in the best shape of my life!

With that said, enjoy your visit and thanks for stopping by! I'm in the 2nd half of my weight loss journey and it's going to be an interesting ride. Please sign my
guestbook and let me know you were here.
